CSL Plasma iGive Rewards Explained (Activate Before You Refer or Get Referred)

Updated · Written by an active CSL Plasma donor

If a CSL Plasma referral code “doesn’t work,” the fix is often not the code itself—it’s iGive Rewards®. CSL’s published referral terms require an active iGive Rewards account for both the person sharing a code and the new donor using one.

This guide explains what iGive is, when to activate it (Donor ID timing), where referral rewards show up, and how to use code Q6MT7GL0XU once iGive is on.

Important: App screens, button labels, and program rules can change. The CSL Plasma app and your local center have the final say. Reward amounts and promo windows vary—confirm in-app.

What iGive Rewards is

iGive Rewards® is CSL Plasma’s donor loyalty / rewards program inside the CSL Plasma app (and related rewards login). In plain terms, it’s the account layer that tracks:

  • Points and rewards tied to donations and promotions
  • Referral status and referral rewards
  • Other in-app offers your center may surface

CSL’s referral materials state that referral bonuses are awarded through iGive Rewards®. Qualified referral rewards are issued as iGive Rewards points, which may be transferred to your CSL Plasma prepaid debit card through authorized redemption methods (points are not “loose cash” outside that system).

You can create a pre-donation account in the app, but full iGive activation requires a Donor Number issued at the center. Until that conversion happens, referral qualification may stall even if you typed a code early.

Why both referrer and new donor need it active

CSL’s official Referral Program Terms & Conditions require:

Referring donor (referrer)

  1. Be an active donor (at least one successful donation in the past 180 days).
  2. Maintain an active iGive Rewards® account.
  3. Submit the referral through authorized channels (for example, the CSL Plasma app).

Referred donor (new donor / referee)

  1. Be a true new donor with no prior donation history at any CSL Plasma center.
  2. Apply the referral code in the app within the 7-day timing window relative to the first donation.
  3. Complete 2 successful donations within 30 days of the first donation.
  4. Maintain an active iGive Rewards® account.

If either side is missing iGive, the referral typically will not qualify—even when the new donor finished two donations. That’s why CSL’s return-donor / refer pages emphasize: activate iGive before you start referring, and new donors must activate once they have a Donor ID.

How to activate (Donor ID timing)

High-level activation path (confirm exact buttons in your app version):

  1. Download / open the CSL Plasma app and create or log into your account.
  2. Complete your first center visit and receive your Donor Number (Donor ID) from staff after you’re registered as a donor.
  3. Return to the app and look for Activate iGive Rewards® (commonly called out on the homepage or in Rewards / Referral areas once a Donor Number exists).
  4. Enter or confirm your Donor Number when prompted so the pre-donor account converts to a full iGive-enabled donor account.
  5. After activation, open the Referrals / referral dashboard area to apply a code (as a new donor) or share your own code (as a referrer).

Timing tips

  • You generally cannot fully activate iGive before the center issues a Donor Number.
  • If you applied a referral code as a pre-donor, still activate iGive after donation one and confirm the code remains attached in the referral dashboard.
  • Keep the 7-day rule in mind: code within 7 days of first donation, or first donation within 7 days of applying the code—whichever order you used.

Where referral rewards show up

When a referral fully qualifies, CSL issues the referrer’s reward as iGive Rewards® points—not as a separate mystery deposit outside the program.

Where to look:

  • Referral dashboard in the CSL Plasma app (status of pending / completed referrals)
  • iGive Rewards / points balance once the reward posts
  • Authorized redemption / transfer to your CSL Plasma debit card (follow in-app redemption steps)

CSL’s public referral offer language has shown about $100 in iGive points to the referring donor after the new donor completes 2 donations—offer value and dates vary by promotion (for example, CSL has published time-bound referral offers on its return-donor page). Always read the current in-app offer text.

New donors still receive their normal new-donor / per-donation fees from the center’s compensation structure; that pay is separate from the referrer’s iGive referral reward. Overview: new donor bonus.

Processing can lag if a donation is deferred, incomplete, or still clearing eligibility checks. CSL’s terms note they are not responsible for delays from eligibility issues, system errors, deferrals, or incomplete donation cycles—so if status looks stuck, wait a bit, then ask center staff or in-app support with your Donor ID handy.

Common “code not working” fixes tied to iGive

Before assuming a code is expired, run this checklist:

  1. iGive not activated — Most common. Activate after you have a Donor Number, then re-check Referrals.
  2. Not a true new donor — Any prior CSL donation history (any center) usually blocks referral qualification.
  3. Outside the 7-day window — Code too late after donation one, or donation one too late after applying the code.
  4. Second donation missing / late — Need 2 successful donations within 30 days of the first.
  5. Referrer side inactive — Referrer must stay an active donor (donation within 180 days) with iGive on until reward issuance; if they lapse, terms allow forfeiture.
  6. Wrong place in the app — Codes belong in the referral / Referrals flow, not in a random promo field that doesn’t exist for your account state.
  7. Typo — Re-enter carefully (example format: Q6MT7GL0XU). Avoid letter/number mix-ups.
  8. Deferred or unsuccessful donation — A visit that doesn’t count as a successful donation won’t advance the 2-in-30 requirement.

Still stuck after iGive is clearly on? Ask your center or CSL app support—and skim the referral code troubleshooting notes.

Using Q6MT7GL0XU after iGive is on

Once iGive Rewards® is active and you’re a true new CSL donor:

  1. Open the CSL Plasma app → Referrals (referral dashboard).
  2. Enter code Q6MT7GL0XU within the 7-day timing window.
  3. Confirm the code shows as applied / pending in the dashboard.
  4. Complete donation #2 within 30 days of donation #1.
  5. Keep iGive active through qualification.

After CSL’s referral qualifies (when the referrer’s ~$100-style iGive reward posts—confirm current amount in-app), Emiliano sends an extra $50 cash-back via Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or Apple Pay. That $50 is from Emiliano personally—not a CSL line item. Details: plasmareferralcode.com and referral code Q6MT7GL0XU.

Soft CTA: Activate iGive first, apply Q6MT7GL0XU, finish two successful donations on time, then claim the $50 after CSL’s referral posts. Rules and amounts change—double-check the app before you visit.
